Ogechi & Chimdi, a pair destined to meet, set off on separate journeys that eventually converged into one beautiful love story.

The First Encounter

It's hard to describe when we first met. Our families have been friends for many years and became familiar with each other in 2018. What started off as simple texts of hellos and well wishes finally blossomed into a spark when Ogechi & Amarachi started their business, Zuruike Tea & Candles. Chimdi would place orders and come to Ogechi's house to pick them up. The two started to get to know each other and see each other more. In July 2021, they both attended the Onyebuchi Wedding in Dallas, TX and those sparks soon turned into fireworks! (Fun Fact: Ogechi caught the bouquet!)

The Courtship

We found ourselves drawn to each other's energy and soon realized that our connection was something special. From long conversations to amazing adventures, we cherish every moment spent together and thank God for memories that will last a lifetime.

The Proposal

Chimdi proposed on November 25, 2023, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This was a huge surprise because Ogechi thought he was joining her annual family vacation.

Our hearts are filled with love and excitement for our future together. We thank God for bringing us together, for weaving our lives into a beautiful tapestry of love and companionship.
